Walk the walk

Many claim to be green, but few know much about the environment. That’s where the Effie Yeaw Nature Center comes in. The center strives to help people appreciate the diversity of nature and learn how to protect it. This Saturday, July 30, at 10 a.m., Effie Yeaw is hosting a walk called “Home Sweet Habitat.” A naturalist will guide participants through Effie Yeaw’s nature areas and show how places like tree holes and damp logs can become homes to different critters. Effie Yeaw’s Nature Center is inside Ancil Hoffman Park in Carmichael, on the corner of Tarshes Drive and California Avenue.
