The definition of cool

The Poetry With Legs series—which Primal Urge: A Journal for Diverse Humans is co-hosting with Shine cafe through November on second and fourth Thursdays—will feature readings this Thursday by two local poets who are the very definition of cool. Patrick Grizzell and D.R. Wagner practice more than one art at a time. Grizzell, a founding member and former president of the Sacramento Poetry Center, is also a musician and visual artist. He performs solo and with his band, Junkyard Burlesque. Wagner, who teaches art at UC Davis, is also a musician and poet. Their reading is Thursday, July 28, at 7 p.m. at Shine, 1400 E Street in Alkali Flat. Who knows what the night will bring?
