Fall into vegan ice cream

It’s mid-November, but the weather isn’t done being in the 70-degree-Fahrenheit range, which means ice cream season isn’t over yet. And how timely, because Archer Farms, Target’s house brand, recently introduced a nondairy line of almond-milk-based ice cream. There are seven flavors—cashew caramel, mocha almond fudge, peanut butter and chocolate, strawberry and fudge, caramel brownie, vanilla bean, and vanilla cake and cookie dough. While the ingredients are vegan-friendly, the ice cream has a may-contain-milk-and-eggs disclaimer on its label: It’s made on shared equipment that processes those animal products, according to their corporate office. But the certified vegan stamp does exist in the Target frozen-dessert aisle on Ben & Jerry’s almond-milk ice cream (P.B. & Cookies, Chunky Monkey, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, among others) and So Delicious cashew and coconut milk pints and ice cream bars (cookies and cream, mint chip, et al.), so there’s no need to sweat it, in November or whenever.
