First-class sketch comedy is on the agenda when local troupe ICUP (pronounced “eye cup,” but yeah, go ahead and spell it) takes the stage in the Blueroom Lounge at the Capital City Hotel Cal Expo. The troupe consists of Mike Haley, Jawara Duncan, Skyler Casebeer, Stephanie Hyden, Sabrina Little, Ashley Marino, Rachel Wright, Ryan Cicak (most likely to put on bunny ears or lobster claws) and Josh Dietz. They mix a bit of stand-up in with sketches and improv, so it’s a different show every time. Be prepared—it usually involves audience participation, so stick-in-the-mud types best go elsewhere. Past shows have included a dunking tub, but it’s a hotel, so there are plenty of towels. Drink specials will make it extra fun.

ICUP Comedy Troupe, Saturday, May 22, 8 p.m.; $8, 21 and over. The Blueroom Lounge in the Capital City Hotel, 2600 Auburn Boulevard; www.icupcomedy.com.
