Between Eric Church’s outlaw country rock and Toby Keith’s stage show, expect plenty of fireworks. Church is an up-and-comer who scored a surprise hit last year with pot paean “Smoke a Little Smoke,” off 2009’s Carolina. This week he released his third album, Chief, whose clever wordplay and crisp twangy sinew further ups the ante. Toby Keith (pictured) is past betting; he owns the tables. Eight of this country superstar’s nine post-millennial releases topped the country charts. He’s got flame cannons and pyrotechnics but doesn’t need them thanks to authenticity, stage command and homey charm that have you at “Hello.” 2677 Forty Mile Road in Wheatland, www.tobykeith.com.
