Internet Cat Video Festival

This one's more than a week away, but trust us—you'll be glad we gave you extra time to plan your life around the Internet Cat Video Festival, which takes place on Saturday, May 11, from 3 to 10 p.m. at the Great Wall of Oakland. The OakCatVidFest, which benefits the East Bay SPCA, will feature screenings of some of the Interweb's most popular cat videos and vendors pushing adorable feline-themed goodies. There will also be representatives from local rescue centers on hand for those looking to add some more meows into the mix. Cats on leashes are welcome. General admission is $5-$10; or $75 buys a VIP ticket, which includes prime seating, a T-shirt and access to the hospitality tent. Broadway and W. Grand Avenue in Oakland, www.oaklandcatvidfest.com.
