DJ Arnold Phillips

Asking deejays to compile lists of their top five songs is like asking Trekkies (or Trekkers, if you prefer) to rank their top five episodes—it’s an excruciatingly painful exercise. When DJ Arnold Phillips (of the Press Club) was asked to compile a Playlist, he presented three different lists, each with five tracks. We’re only publishing his all-time favorite tracks. So here they are:

1. “Walking on the Moon”
by the Police (from Regatta de Blanc)

2. “Things That Dreams Are Made Of”
by Human League (from Dare!)

3. “A Day in the Life”
by the Beatles (from Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band)

4. “Let’s Go to Bed”
by the Cure (from Japanese Whispers)

5. “God Save the Queen”
by the Sex Pistols (from Never Mind the Bollocks Here’s the Sex Pistols)
