Make Oroville greener

Public comment encouraged regarding Oroville Area Urban Greening Plan

Local agencies are offering an open house for community members to provide input on the Oroville Area Urban Greening Plan.

The meeting, which will serve to highlight opportunities to “green, clean, connect and enhance neighborhoods and public spaces without creating new regulations or requirements for residents, property owners or businesses,” will take place on Saturday, June 29, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Oroville Veterans Memorial Hall (2374 Montgomery St.), according to a press release. The plan will review possible improvements to alleys, vacant lots, trails, connections between neighborhoods and parks, community gardens, bike and pedestrian paths, and more.
