Ice cream and sandwiches just go together. As do the literary and culinary arts. That's precisely why this weekend's edition of the ongoing Tasty Books series is going to be so darn great: It'll feature Bay Area author Jennie Schacht promoting her newest cookbook, I Scream Sandwich: Inspired Recipes for the Ultimate Frozen Treat (Stewart, Tabori & Chang; $19.95), plus ice-cream sandwich demonstrations and tastings at Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates (1801 L Street, Suite 60), featuring recipes from the book.
