Best “throwback to the evil 1980s” band name in town has to go to Dungeons & Drag Queens, an illustrious combo featuring the slamming drum talents of sometimes SN&R contributor Eddie Jorgensen. D&DQ also features a couple of moonlighting Proles and will be pumping out some high-energy yas-yas at its CD-release party on Wednesday, October 29, just two days short of Halloween. Also on the bill at Capitol Garage, 1427 L Street, are Nebula and Army of Trees. The show starts at 8 p.m.; tickets are $8. Another CD-release party will be staged at the same venue on Friday, October 24, featuring Killing Buddha, covered in last week’s Clubber column. Also on the bill are My Remains, the Needs and Chasing Sirens. It starts at 8:30 p.m., and the cover’s $8.
