Keep your lamp trimmed and burning

Raigambre, looking to hook into that primal beat.

Back when the Blue Lamp was a stripper bar called Club 400, you could escape the office for a “box lunch” (chicken-salad sandwich and a beer) for a few bucks. Today it’s a pretty cool venue. On Saturday, October 11, local Latin-rock sensation Raigambre will light the place up. The octet will preview new material from its forthcoming album and play some older tunes. The show starts at 9:30 p.m., Ollie (from East L.A.) is also on the bill, and admission is $7. The night before (Friday, October 10), you can see Dave Gleason’s Wasted Days, featuring local guitar god Mike Farrell, along with Red Star Memorial. That show also starts at 9:30 p.m., and the cover is $6. The Blue Lamp is located at 1400 Alhambra Boulevard.
