Happy, Texas

Rated 3.0 Two escaped convicts (Jeremy Northam and Steve Zahn) hide out in a small Texas town and try to pass themselves off as a gay couple who work as directors of children’s beauty pageants. It’s a patently absurd premise, on more than one count, but it yields up a surprisingly engaging little comic romp—a bedroom farce in rural Texas, with some perky gender-bender spins on it.
