Nana’s Cream Cheese Frosting

Local food blogger, Sarah Singleton has created (or possibly found in her Nana’s recipe book) the perfect cream-cheese frosting. I once asked her why her cupcakes were so good, and she shared her baking wisdom with me: It’s all in the frosting. Singleton’s delicious concoction uses lemon juice to balance the sweet confectioner’s sugar with the cream cheese, and the result is a frosting that is smooth and creamy, with just the right balance of sweet and tangy to make your carrot cake the talk of any party.

The recipe for this delight can be found under the “Carrot Cupcakes a la Martha, with Cream Cheese Frosting” post in the dessert section of Singleton’s recipe page. www.undercovercaterer.com.
