Follow the yellow brick road

Get your voice warmed up, and grab your costume for a great opportunity to sing your way down the yellow brick road. That’s right: It’s time for Outword’s second annual Sing Along with The Wizard of Oz at the Crest Theatre Sunday, August 22. It includes a costume contest with prizes for the best version of an Oz character, but the real selling point is a chance to sing that score we know by heart. Of course, I’ll be there, ready to represent the Lullabye League. Or is it the Lollipop Guild? Either’s fine with me, as long as I don’t have to be the Wicked Witch. But then, she doesn’t sing much, does she? Doors open at 1 o’clock for a 2 p.m. show; tickets are $10-$12 at the door and $8-$10 in advance.
