Eight Gigs: The Devil’s Train

Thurs., June 25, 8 p.m., Starlite Lounge, $8

Chuga chuga chuga chuga choo choo! All aboard The Devil's Train. First stop on this musical adventure: hell. This Grass Valley punk quartet formed in 2009, but had a recent train conductor change: Kerry Wright took over vocal duties for the group after Akasha Hepcat left earlier this year. Since then, the band has opened for Nekromantix, with previous opening stints including the Misfits. Despite the lineup change, the self-described “jazz punks from hell” continue on—upright string bass and all. Forget the highway, the real path to hell is on tracks. The Moans open, with Rhythm Dragons headlining. 1517 21st Street, www.facebook.com/
