Christmas shows for the kids

Most Christmas shows are family-friendly by their very nature, but there are a few productions that are aimed directly at the younger set, and certainly worth checking out as a way to support the arts and make a holiday memory. For example, The Actor’s Workshop in Folsom is producing a stage version of A Charlie Brown Christmas, which is sure to make children happy and adults nostalgic. The shows are on Saturdays at noon and 2 p.m., December 3, 10 and 17; an evening opening show is set for 7 p.m., Friday, December 2. Bob and Ro Productions at the Studio Theatre open The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe on Sunday, December 2, and it runs weekends until December 18.
