If you thought that slugs and snails and puppy-dog tails sounded sinister, boy, oh boy, are you in for an unpleasant surprise. Local filmmaker Jonathan Morken’s production company, Apprehensive Films, specializes in “burning images of horror and exploitation into the brains of the masses.” Take, for instance, this Friday’s Heart Full of Napalm DVD release party. The event promises to deliver generous portions of blood, sex, nudity, violence, gore, adult language and rock ’n’ roll. Tickets for the event are $8, and for another $5 you can take home a copy of the DVD. Local punk-rockers the Secretions and the Helper Monkeys are slated to perform. The celebration kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at the Citrus Heights Community Clubhouse, located at 6921 Sylvan Road in Citrus Heights. Call (916) 880-4025 or visit www.afcinema.net for more information.
