A Child’s Christmas in Wales

A Child’s Christmas in Wales weaves the tale of a lyrical journey into the heart of an elderly man. It is a tale that leads us back to the magic and marvel of being a young boy at an age when life, love and trust were embraced without hesitation. On this special Christmas Eve, the sentimental old Geraint shares his heartwarming boyhood memories with his beloved grandson, Thomas. Yet, on this magical evening, he does more than recall his cherished youth … he relives it.

Foothill Theatre Company Artistic Director Philip Charles Sneed has taken great care to restore the original masterpiece written by poet Dylan Thomas. “I was attracted to the idea of building this particular work of theater from the ground up, with a mixed bag of artists, actors, designers, musicians and so on,” says Sneed. “It reminds me of the possibility represented by that season when it seems that any dream might come true.”

With an ensemble cast that includes a number of popular actors, including Erinn Clancey, Arianna Rampey, Adam Toothaker, Karyn Casl, Timothy Orr and Genevieve Byrnes, the presentation will also feature an appearance by a local children’s choir.
