Science marchers

Over 1,000 people take to Chico streets in the name of science

SCIENCE MARCHERS<br>Many of the more than 1,200 people who participated in the March for Science on Saturday (April 22) in Chico got creative with signs. Held in conjunction with a main event in Washington, D.C., the local event--starting on the Chico State campus and ending with a march through downtown--was among the 500-plus other satellite events all over the country and the world. Its purpose was to remind people of the importance of science in our everyday lives and in affecting policy.
