Over 1,000 people take to Chico streets in the name of science
SCIENCE MARCHERS
Many of the more than 1,200 people who participated in the March for Science on Saturday (April 22) in Chico got creative with signs. Held in conjunction with a main event in Washington, D.C., the local event--starting on the Chico State campus and ending with a march through downtown--was among the 500-plus other satellite events all over the country and the world. Its purpose was to remind people of the importance of science in our everyday lives and in affecting policy.
