Chico State welcomes President Gayle Hutchinson during investiture ceremony

On Friday (March 3), CSU Chancellor Timothy White visited the Chico State campus to officially welcome Gayle Hutchinson as president. Hutchinson, the university’s first female chief, offered homage to the past while looking toward the future, the theme of her address being “together, we can.” Pictured during the investiture ceremony, White places a medallion around Hutchinson’s neck. The 4-inch-diameter bronze piece was commissioned for the occasion and features the university seal, a drawing of Kendall Hall and the names of all the presidents who’ve served Chico State.
