Murder on Sega Lane

Girlfriend arrested in killing of south Chico man

Last Friday (April 15), police got a call of a possible shooting near Entler Avenue in south Chico. When they got there, they found the body of Robert Henry Bauman, who apparently had been shot inside his home off Sega Lane, according to a Butte County Sheriff’s Office press release.

Bauman, 56, owned Bob’s Concrete Pumping in Durham. Sheriff’s detectives brought Bauman’s live-in girlfriend, Jacqueline Bolf, to their office for questioning, after which they arrested her and charged her with murder

His obituary, available on Legacy.com, characterizes Bauman as a generous, kind man. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 23, at 1 p.m. at the Chico Masonic Family Center.
