Yoga does more than increase flexibility and reduce stress
Many of us know that increased flexibility and stress reduction are among the benefits of engaging in the practice of yoga, but there are others that may not be as well-known, including:
• Healthier skin: Yoga helps increase blood and oxygen flow, resulting in more vibrant, healthy skin.
• Relief from chronic health problems: Symptoms linked to cancer, drug addiction, diabetes, arthritis and migraine headaches can be relieved by doing yoga, according to the American Cancer Society.
• Increased happiness: The supportive environment in which one often does yoga can allow one to more freely express positive feelings.
