Four tips to staying hydrated

Are you drinking enough water? Chances are, because the weather has cooled, you’re not. Water has a number of benefits, including keeping you hydrated, suppressing appetite, and reducing the risk of certain diseases, such as cancer. Here are some tips to encourage drinking water:

Swap it: Drink water instead of soda, juice, milk or other liquids you’d ordinarily consume during the day.

Flavor it: Add a sprig of mint or slices of cucumbers or citrus, such as lemons, limes or oranges, to give water a splash of flavor.

Carry it: Keep a refillable water bottle with you at all times, and drink from it regularly.

Set a goal: Want to drink eight glasses a day? Keep a tally to keep you on task.
