Election angst

Most Americans say they’re eager for the election to be over

This year’s presidential election may be one of the most divisive in recent history, but at least Americans agree on one thing—they can’t wait for the whole thing to be over. That’s according to results of a poll of 1,000 U.S. adults conducted by Huffington Post and YouGov published on Oct. 24. It revealed that 81 percent of respondents agreed they “wish the election were over,” while only 12 percent said they were enjoying it. Though they’re over the process, respondents also expressed concern about the end result: 78 percent agreed that, “Depending on who wins the presidential election, the U.S. could be in serious trouble.”
