Pro-pot numbers higher than ever

Poll shows California voters overwhelmingly support pot legalization

Californians planning to vote in favor of legalizing recreational marijuana this November outnumber those opposed 2 to 1, according to survey results released last week (Sept. 22) by The Field Poll/Institute for Governmental Studies. The results show that 60 percent of likely voters said they will cast their ballot in favor of Proposition 64, while 31 percent say they will vote against the measure (9 percent were undecided). The pro-legalization percentage is the highest the organization has recorded since it began tracking attitudes about pot in 1969.
