Voice of a true generation

Candace Albee Brown and Cameron McHenry, two outta three ain’t bad.

Candace Albee Brown and Cameron McHenry, two outta three ain’t bad.

A wise woman (or was it a feminist bumper sticker?) once said, “If a woman told the truth about her life, the world would crack open.” If the saying holds true, Sacramentans had better prepare for serious seismic vibrations when three of our most powerful local poets take the stage. The Michael Himovitz Gallery presents the “Three Generations of Women,” a poetry reading in honor of Women’s History Month. Candace Albee Brown, Patricia D’Alessandro and Cameron McHenry will be the featured voices, with an open mike to follow. Felicia will host the evening, 8 p.m.-midnight Saturday, March 3. Suggested donation is $5. Michael Himovitz Gallery, 1616 Del Paso Blvd. Call 929-7896 for more information.
