Duck day afternoon

It’s amazing how many duck-related activities waterfowl enthusiasts have created. Bird-watching, nest building, duckling petting, decoy carving, wildlife art shows, wetlands restoration—the list is endless. There are nearly 100 ducky events offered at the Duck Days Wetlands Festival this weekend, including field trip explorations of wetlands throughout the Central Valley. Duck Days begins at 5:30 p.m. Friday and continues through Monday’s day-long field trips. Admission is $8 for one day on-site, $25 for one day with field trips and $40 for the whole shebang. Children 16 and under are free. Veterans Memorial Center, 203 East 14th St., Davis. Call 1-800-425-5001 or visit www.duckdays.org for a full schedule of events
