Trailing off

Get those hands dirty.

Get those hands dirty.

Unbeknownst to Robert Frost, even the “road less traveled” needs some support, especially if said trail goes through a pristine natural habitat. Just ask the folks at the American River Conservancy, who construct hiking trails for public enjoyment while preserving wildlife habitats and protecting rare plants. But they couldn’t do it without help from volunteers. The next workday on the South Fork American River Trail will be Saturday, December 19, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Volunteers will work on stabilization, erosion control and trail building. Tools and training will be provided.
