Why horses? According to photographer Steve German, “People really relate to horses in a deep, emotional way.” He and Anne Blue, Steve Cook, Michelle MacKenzie, and Ted Young have all created works about the equine in varying media in Gallery 2110’s exhibition Horse Power. German, a former horse owner who photographed domesticated herds in locales such as Santa Fe, New Mexico, makes sure to add, “My photos are as much as about people as they are about horses.”
