Something tells me this guy’s going to get out of his mama’s house. Sacramento is already buzzing about the recent release of the self-titled debut album of local talent The Philharmonik, who blends hip-hop, funk and electronic to produce songs that are genuine and soulful. During the first album release party at Sol Collective, the performer shared how depression impacts his work before introducing the song, “Good Day.” He also had folks shakin’ their asses and yelling, “Fuck you, pay me,” with his anthem for everyone who is sick of being under paid. You get a second chance to catch him ride the energy of this album release—don’t miss it! 955 Venture Court, www.facebook.com/thephilharmonik.
