The blogs next door

I was wondering if you had a favorite list of local green blogs that bring to light the progressive ideas needed to save our environment.

As all good Treehuggers know, grassroots activists are the purest sources of fact. So it was with great joy and camaraderie that I learned of your insatiable desire to read the unedited—sorry, uncensored—voices of our fellow Internet users. Unfortunately, my own blog, EveryoneElseIsWrong.com, is still in the planning stages. So I don’t mind shining the spotlight on other local Treehuggers for a week:

Visit www.OurGreenCommunity.org to read rallying cries for green lifestyle choices.

Visit www.SacramentoZoo.blogspot.com to read rallying cries for animal rights and conservation.

Visit www.ParkwayBlog.blogspot.com to see rallying cries for preservation of the American River Parkway.

Visit www.LJUrban.com to read rallying cries for developing an eco-urban community in Sac.

Visit the CleanStart initiative’s “unofficial” blog, www.GreenSacramento.blogspot.com, to read rallying cries for clean energy.

Visit www.SacGardening.blogspot.com to read rallying cries for growing green.

Visit www.Sactivist.com to see rallying cries for just about every local, sustainable issue under the earth- frying sun.

And because my liberal reputation mandates that I champion underdogs everywhere, I invite all of Sacramento’s green bloggers who I haven’t mentioned to write in and reveal themselves for inclusion in a future Treehugger column. I will pretend to love you in strategic social settings while skulking in private because you threaten to out-green me. Still, let’s shake hands for the camera.
