The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas

The bawdy tale of the Chicken Ranch, a small-town brothel with a statewide reputation, gets wild when a TV reporter (Bob Baxter, who also directs) shines his light on Miss Mona’s (the outstanding Ruth Phillips) operation. The sheriff (Michael Maples) can’t help much, and chaos ensues—complete with high-steppin’ choreography by Darryl Stroh. A bit naive about literal prostitution and completely honest about political prostitution, language and innuendo make this show inappropriate for young children, but great fun for everyone else.
