If you're into summer festivals and classical music, then check out Music in the Mountain's SummerFest 2014 in Grass Valley. It began on June 11, and continues through Friday, July 4, at the Center for the Arts and at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. Even though Music in the Mountains is an organization dedicated to classical-music performances and education, it'll serve up a variety of genres at its festival. Highlights include Fiesta del Caribe (7 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, at the Center for the Arts), a dance party with Cuban jazz trio Gardenia Azul, Caribbean food and salsa-dance lessons; Young Geniuses (7:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 22), featuring Elk Grove's Ray Anthony Trujillo performing Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 4 in D major; and Gershwin Extravaganza (7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1), featuring Konstantin Soukhovetski (pictured) performing George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue.
