Sheryl Lee Ralph in Sometimes I Cry

Images Theatre Company is hosting a one-night-only performance of a one-woman show written and performed by actress Sheryl Lee Ralph. The show, titled Sometimes I Cry, examines “the loves, lives and losses of women infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.” Ralph originated the role of Deena Jones in the Broadway production of Dreamgirls, receiving a Tony nomination. She’s performed Sometimes I Cry in many cities during the past three years; the Sacramento show will be Saturday, October 4, at 8 p.m. at the Guild Theater, 2828 35th Street. $60-$65.
