Their motto is “Suds Wash-o-Rama, drop your pants here”—and it should add, “leave your heart at the door.” Suds is a delightful musical comedy that follows coin-laundry worker Cindy (Melissa Wolfklain) as she searches for true love and learns a little bit about herself with the help of her guardian angels, Marge (Nanci Zoppi) and Dee Dee (Eydie Alyson). They teach Cindy to open her heart to all kinds of love (starting with the love of self). As Marge says, “Put yourself first, because if you put yourself first, then no one can come in second.” Filled with soapy drama, a fun list of ’60s favorites, a bunch of Corvair jokes, impressive harmonies and a surprise guardian angel (Michael Dotson), Suds is a tub full of fun.
