There are plenty of events vying for your attendance this weekend, but how many can boast a zombie penis? Only one: Danny Secretion’s Lame Ass Birthday Bash.

Of course, there’s more to this shindig than singing “Happy Birthday” to a dedicated local punk musician and looking at undead genitalia. If you attend DSLABB (unfortunate acronym) this Saturday night, you’ll also receive:

• A first look at Apprehensive Films’ latest release, a video for the Secretions’ “Cemetery Pogo.” It’s got brain chewing, grave licking, punk girls dancing, and, yes, this is where the aforementioned reanimated appendage comes in.

• An opportunity to sign the petition to bring back the Punk Rock Academy radio show, which was recently cancelled on 93.7 FM. Danny Secretion is leading the charge for more local punk music on commercial radio. Get involved!

• Live music by local bands covering other local bands. Hear the Knockoffs, the Secretions, Va Va Voom, the Shenanigoats, Final Summation and many more groups playing each others’ songs in a gloriously self-referential musical inside joke!

Face it, kids: You couldn’t accomplish more socializing if you party hopped all night. So be there when the doors open at 7 p.m. The St. Francis Social Hall is located at 2500 K Street. Visit www.myspace.com/secretions for more info.
