Biographical jukebox musicals built around the songbook of a pop star from the 1960s are all the rage nowadays, and this weekend, it’s Janis Joplin’s turn. A Night With Janis Joplin is a touring show that includes songs from Joplin’s all-too-brief, meteoric career, as well as interludes with her hobnobbing with other stars of that era (Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone, Etta James). Fri 7:30pm, Sat 2pm & 7:30pm, Sun 2pm & 7pm. Through 10/14; $48-$78; Harris Center of the Performing Arts, 10 College Parkway in Folsom; (916) 608-6888; harriscenter.net.
