If art were gold, it’d be safe to say one could easily strike it rich in Nevada City. The historic mining town is home to a bevy of artists of various mediums, including painter Gwyn Stramler. Inspired by the elements, her earth-, water- and air-themed works have evolved from being hazy breaths of pigment to being incorporations of bold, graphic features. The overall look is sometimes weathered, and is often a dichotomy of soft vs. harsh.
