Technically, the California WorldFest starts next week on July 15. However, since lots of Sacramento folks are trying to save money these days, it’s important that would-be WorldFest attendees know about the lineup before the cheap ticket prices end on Wednesday, July 14. The festival will feature eight stages of entertainment, including Ziggy Marley, Keb’ Mo’, Raul Midon, That 1 Guy and more. Watch out for Professor Merloch Silvermaine, who will be wandering the fairgrounds performing as a seer, sage, sorcerer and storyteller. Of course, there will be camping available, activities for kids, lots of international-food options and artisan vendors. There also will be yoga workshops among the pine trees. Feel free to dress like a hippie, douse yourself in patchouli and head to the Sierra Foothills for some worldly experiences.

California WorldFest is July 15-18; tickets are $35-$140 in advance for camping and $35-$150 at the gate for camping; $25-$120 in advance for day tickets and $25-$130 at the gate for day tickets. Nevada County Fairgrounds, 11228 McCourtney Road; www.worldfest.net.
