Never room for J-E-L-L-O

Remember in grade school when some kid would claim Jell-O was made from octopuses? Then another would counter it’s made from horse hooves? Kid No. 2 wasn’t far off: Gelatin, Jell-O’s magic ingredient, is created from boiling down cattle and pig bones and tissues. The substance is also in marshmallows, Kellogg’s Frosted Mini-Wheats cereal and medicine gel caps. Gelatin’s used to clarify some beers and wines, and, until recently, it was in Starburst and Skittles candies. So while Jell-O shots are out of the question for vegetarian tipplers, Skittles-vodka shots are, apparently, fair game.
