Documentary filmmakers Julia Query and Vicki Funari will screen their film Live Nude Girls Unite at the Crest this Saturday. The film offers a rare portrait of women in the sex industry by documenting one stripper’s experience at work, relating to her family and participating in the exotic dancer unionization effort. The screening is part of this weekend’s California National Organization for Women Conference and begins at 8 p.m. with a reception at the Crest Café (next door to the theater, 10th and K streets). Funari, the film’s director, will speak at the reception. The screening begins at 9:30 p.m. A donation of $10 is requested, and reservations are required. Reserve your spot by calling 442-3414.
