Grand Theft Auto IV

Finally, a quieter, violence-free side of Liberty City. Yeah, right. If you expect anything but brutality and sex, you will be disappointed. This installment doesn’t reinvent the blood-soaked wheel, but it does improve on it, most notably in the addition of online multiplayer games featuring free movement throughout the city. Although it’s close, GTA IV isn’t perfect. A series of known bugs can freeze the game at loading screens. Don’t listen to the preachers and politicians—there is more to GTA than sex and violence; the main character’s struggles mirror the pains and horrors of generations of immigrants forced to adapt—by whatever means necessary. Oh, and this one time, I blew up the gas tank of a cop car and it flipped over and crushed an old lady walking on the street. Which was awesome.
