Gone gore-fest

Now here’s a Halloween show that will require a raincoat—seriously, you’ll want some plastic covering if you’re in the “blood splash zone” at A Midsummer Nightmare 2. This Halloween production by Roseville’s Alternative Arts Collective promises “Zombies! Vampires! Lady Gaga! Snookie! Juno! And Shakespeare?” We can’t vouch for the Shakespeare, but apparently, there will be blood. And parody. And social commentary. And dance breaks. Specify if you’d like to be seated in a “no-splash zone,” or else you’ll get what you deserve. A Midsummer Nightmare 2 plays Saturday, October 30, at 2 p.m. and Sunday, October 31 at 7 p.m. and midnight (adult performance), at the Royer Arts Center, 190 Park Drive in Roseville. Tickets are $6, available at the door.
