Girl Scout cookies go V

The time of year has come once again for girls in green vests and sashes to stop you from entering Safeway to ask, “Would you like to buy some Girl Scout Cookies?” If you are vegan, you can say yes! Thanks to one of the Girl Scouts’ licensed bakers, five of its cookie flavors are vegan. ABC Bakers’ plant-based recipes are the classic mint-chocolate Thin Mints; Thanks-A-Lots, shortbread dipped in fudge; Peanut Butter Patties, vanilla cookie smothered in peanut butter and covered in chocolate; Girl Scout S’mores, graham cookie double-dipped with crème icing and chocolate; and Lemonades, shortbread with lemon icing. Go to to stalk, er, find the nearest cookie-selling Scout’s hours and location. You could also download the Girl Scout Cookie Finder app from iTunes or Google Play—because of course there is an app for that. Just double-check that the cookies are from ABC Bakers when ordering.
