The achingly wistful tunes of the Finches will soon be winging back into our area. When bass player Aaron Morgan left the Finches, the only remaining member, singer and guitarist Carolyn Pennypacker Riggs, changed the name to Palms. People got confused, and the songs still sounded wonderfully Finchy. So now the old name is back, along with a full harmonizing band. Riggs is lovely to look at and listen to, and a master of between-song banter.
