Slick back your hair and roll up the cuffs of your pants: The Cherry Poppin' Daddies are swinging through town. The Eugene, Ore., 1990s-throwback act is still jitterbugging across the West Coast with brassy pop attitude. The Daddies' latest album, White Teeth, Black Thoughts, delivers a punch reminiscent of its breakout 1997 hit “Zoot Suit Riot.” The latest release shows both sides of the Daddies—a return to its vintage, swinging jazz roots on one side and an upbeat guitar-rock exuberance on the other. Toss that dry martini down, and get out your favorite pair of skankin' ska sneakers for this Friday-night show. 1000 K Street, www.daddies.com.
