Food truck finale

Food trucks have become an integral aspect of the dining scene. Established restaurants like Buckhorn Grill have taken to the streets, while Chando’s Tacos and KoJa Kitchen (coming soon to K Street) have moved into permanent shops. On April 29, Sacramento’s pioneering organizer of these mobile eateries, SactoMoFo, will be hosting these three trucks along with 33 others at its tenth annual—and final—free block party in the Downtown Railyards (between Fifth and Seventh streets). There will be tons of sweet and savory food, live entertainment and a beer garden with six local craft breweries to benefit the Front Street Animal Shelter, which will also put on a fashion show starring adoptable pets. SactoMoFo owner Paul Somerhausen says his organization is shifting to smaller, more specialized events, but he wanted to have one last shebang for the event that got many Sacramentans into food on four wheels.
