Folsom Handcar Derby

Pushing a handcar: It’s an activity that reminds us of a time long past, when folks regularly rode the rails. Each spring, Folsom revives the tradition of pushin’ the old Kalamazoo during the annual Folsom Handcar Derby. On Saturday, teams will go through orientation and on Sunday, they’ll show off their skills for a crowd of spectators during the derby. The top teams get prizes and, of course, bragging rights.
