Glitter explosion? Check. Berlin electro warrior? Check.

Barbara Morgenstern on Sunday, September 28, 8 p.m., at the Javalounge, 2416 16th Street; $5; all ages.

Berlin arguably is the electronica capital of the world right now. Sac, while home to many incredible electro artists, doesn’t quite get as much love and is losing the electro wars. For now. Sigh. Still, when German electronica artist Barbara Morgenstern comes to the Javalounge on Sunday, it’ll be cool to get a lil’ taste of a pre-eminent European music scene. Morgenstern, a Berlin indie artist who sings in both English and German over electronic backbeats and blips, will be kicking off her North American tour in Sac, of all places. Her new album, BM, drops in October, complete with bumping synths, bilingual harmonies, catchy beats and all sorts of cool dance shit. She’ll be joined by DJ Mupetblast, DJ F.Stop, Hearts+Horses and me, the guy in the back corner downing beers and espresso shots, “hella buzzed.”
