Another Poster for Peace

If your appetite for protest posters was whetted by the artists featured in this issue, here’s the site for you. Most of its 28 professionally designed images of dissent are heavy on symbolism, simple color schemes and bold iconography—perfect for desktop-printer reproduction. Marty Neumeier’s picture of a “war” gas can pouring over a flame labeled “terrorism” is stunning in its minimalism. Akiko Ito’s cheery “poop them out” is a retro-styled dove eating weapons and excreting a rainbow of flowers. The site’s goal is “to help create a grassroots ‘anti-campaign’ to counter the brilliant marketing the U.S. administration is currently running to promote its war agenda.” Users are encouraged to print the art for bumper stickers, fliers, T-shirts or anything else to share its message.
